Iain Allison - Managing Director


Iain Allison has been in construction since 1990, Initially working for a professional quantity surveying practice before entering the housebuilding sector with Bryant Homes, where he progressed from Quantity Surveyor to Commercial Director. In 2009 Iain joined Bellway Homes where he worked as Technical Director responsible for Procurement, Commercial, Architectural and Engineering disciplines.

 

Eight years later Iain was duly appointed Regional / Managing Director for Bellway Homes where he successfully oversaw the creation and establishment of their Scotland East Division in Livingston, building an effective management team that would go on to grow the business to c.450 units, whilst almost doubling turnover in 3 years.

 

Now pursuing a career as a freelance consultant, Iain brings a raft of technical knowledge, practical problem-solving experience and effective guidance towards cost management, and resultantly, increased profitability to housing developers .

With a track record of driving business growth whilst implementing strong disciplines in cost management, Iain brings a raft of housebuilding senior-management experience and leadership skills across sales, construction, land, technical and commercial disciplines. He also has a strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills and offers effective guidance towards management of procurement and controlling developers cost base to deliver increased cost certainty and profitability.

Mark McGleish - Associate Planner
 

Mark McGleish is a land agent, chartered town planner and surveyor with a successful 30 year proven track record in both the private and public sectors. He operates extensively across both rural and urban areas, servicing a large rural client base along with other private clients and corporate interests.

Mark’s primary focus is the protection of his clients’ property and commercial interests and to maximise their asset values whenever possible. He has created long standing relationships with many clients both private and corporate, which have been founded on providing a high standard of service and an ethos of openness and trust in his business dealings.

Since 2010 Mark has been focused on providing property related services to clients in both Scotland and England including, inter alia, the negotiation of complex and high value commercial agreements. These include residential options/promotion agreements with housebuilders; Compulsory Purchase negotiation; land sales; negotiation of ransom agreements, leases/licenses and servitude/easement/wayleave rights.

He also negotiates Utility related damage/loss claims for clients and often provides advice on general planning and development issues, such as undertaking planning applications, appeals and feasibility studies for clients.

Mark’s professional practice draws from extensive experience in land agency and a variety of senior management roles in PLCs including directorship/main board responsibility for the purchase of short term development land; strategic land promotion; and related engineering/technical and consenting matters. During his early career he worked in the public sector in both land use policy formulation and development management positions. Mark holds undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in town and country planning and land economics/urban property appraisal. He is a graduate of both Strathclyde and West of Scotland (Paisley) Universities
